Conclusion

The results of this study failed to support my hypothesis. This experiment examined whether the right or left ear was more dominant through a dichotic listening task. My prediction was that participants would record more correct words coming from the right ear than the left ear, because the left hemisphere, which controls functions of the right side of the body, also processes verbal information. However, according to my results, although the right ear was slightly more dominant compared to the left ear, the difference was not significant.
